Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Items not paid for, but want to pay now.
If you want to pay for something that has not been paid for yet but you have the item(s) already, and you want to go the honest route about it and just pay for the item(s). Can you still be charged even though you want to pay for it now but didn't pay previously?

Why, yes, of course, you could be charged, after all, the crime of theft has already been committed.
(That, of course, should in no way prevent you from going "the honest route" and sending the cash anonymously to the store with a list of these items which had not been paid for.)
