Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Jury trial or wave it
I was arrest and found guilty of violating a Protective Order in the JDR court. I filed an appeal to the circuit court. I have the option to have a jury trial or wave that right. Is there any advantage to having a jury or is it better to let the judge decide the case? Pros and cons?

Re: Jury trial or wave it
A criminal trial in which the defendant has waived the right to a jury trial is known as a "slow plea" (of guilty).
