Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Juvenile felony charge
My son was charged with a felony as a child under 18. When he applies for employment, is his record open to the public or can he honestly check ''no'' I have not been charged with a felony on job applications?

Re: Juvenile felony charge
Your son's juvenile record should remain sealed from public scrutiny, and assuming that the question refers to his record as an adult, then he should be able to answer in the affirmative if he hasn't, of course, had any further convictions.
