Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Lack of evidence

My 14 yr old son was hit on the ear, and received minor injuries, we pressed charges, and the girl had to go to angry management classes. Now that everything has been said and done, her parents have issued a complaint, about my son. Saying he used abusive language, before their daughter hit him. Their daughter never told a teacher, or principal, they waited a month to file this complaint, and say they have a sworn statement(from a 14yr) confirming that he cussed... they want us to have him go to anger management. Why should the victim be punished? What kind of case do they have with just a sworn statement from a 14yr old, a month after the fact?

Re: Lack of evidence

In what forum has the complaint by the disgrunteled parents been presented? If not a court, forget about it. If a court, which requires some credible response, better see a lawyer.
