Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I was laid off from a company that produced home kits. I was in sales and have several potential customers that I had talked with or sent information to while employed there. Those leads were generated through that companies website or other advertising methods. That company also has filed bankruptcy, although I expect they will restart operations eventually. I have recently been employed by another company doing the same thing. If I mail or call those potential customers I had with the first company would I be breaking the law? I feel sure the owner of the first company wouldnt like it but I was not sure if it would be illegal or not. Thanks for your help

Breaking the law? Unless you're the subject of an enforceable non-compete agreement with the first company, I would think not.
