Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Larceny

My brother and I did catering jobs for a place which wrote the checks out to us each time we did the jobs and now we are changed with 4 to 5 counts of larceny because the police office (which is out to get us believe it or not) is saying that the college we worked for should have gotten the money. The lady we did the jobs for says she ''assumed'' we were working for hte college even though I flat out told her we were working for ourselves.. but I don't understand how she can call me on my cell phone, email me at my email address both which have no ties to the college I worked for and write the checks out to me and me end up getting charged with larceny on each job for that certain amount of money. I would really love some to explain this to me becaue I feel like these charges should be thrown out and I would love to sue them for faulse allegations..

Is there anything I'm not seein ghere? Even is she says I didnt' tell her I was working for myself, she wrote me the checks.. not the college. I did the work.. I bought the food with my money and I did all the labor.. How is this possible for me to be charged??

Please explain!

Thanks,...

Re: Larceny

Better see a competent criminal defense attorney about this ASAP(if you haven't already).

If you cannot afford to hire such defense counsel then request the court to appoint one for you.
