how long does someone have to file a lawsuit against the driver of a vehicle which he was driving where two passengers were killed? my son was driving - two passengers killed; he is currently in prison; i'm concerned about lawsuits - curious how long families of passengers have to follow through with possible lawsuits?

Most likely, two years from the date of the accident.
