Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

How can we get someone to leave us alone legally when it is not covered under lo

Ok, long story short - husband has Bipolar Disorder, gives in to urges and has an affair. Affair lasts 4 - 5 months. During this time - within firt month the other woman (OW) claims to get pregenant, miscarry, pregnant again, etc. After 10 months of pregnancy then claims to have miscarried 5 months earlier. Then a total of 13 months later OW contacts hub claiming to have had given birth to a son. Then extorts $200 a week out of him threatening to tell me (the wife) or my parents and then finally threatened to have her father sue him for money that she stole from her father's business and gave him. Hub complied for a while. He has never been allowed to see this kid, been told the DOB, been shown a picture! OW has refused to go about this legally or even to submit the child to a paternity test. What are our options? And how can we legally make her stay away from our family? Supposedly her family has even hired a PI to keep tabs on us - where we live, work etc.

Your husband should refuse to pay any child support until a court has found him to be the father of the child and ordered support.

Your husband can, also, seek a court order to

restrain this person from contacting him or members of his family. And, if necessary, he may have resort to the more serious, criminal stalking laws, if necessary, to control this situation.
