Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Limitations of Prostitution Laws
If a person was stopped and a prostitute was in the car, and he was told he could go and would not be charged with anything, could he face charges in the future? If so, how long is the statute of limitation for such a crime?

He could, but in all probabilty he won't(be charged). Solicitation of Prostitution(or its equivalent)is a misdemeanor offense in the Commonwealth with a statute of limitations of one year.
