I live in va ,I was convicted of a drug charge 28 yrs ago,Gov Kaine has just restored my cival rights ,how do I get my rights to own a gun again

Assuming, of course, that this restoration of rights did not include any
reference to restoring your right to own, possess, transport or ship firearms and that the crime of which you were convicted 28 years ago did not involve
a federal offense, then your remedy for the restoration of these "gun rights" may lie with an appropriate petition filed with the circuit court in the city or county where you currently reside.
