Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

I live in Virginia...Last weekend my baby father took my car and while I was asleep and then wasn't answering the phone...after a few hours I got irritated and me being impatient and pregnant I filed a police report and they quickly found him by his house in Maryland..after him being arrested I found text of him stating why he took car and when he was coming back...I now obviously feel dumb and and want to drop charges and he's in custody in Maryland waiting to be extradited to Virginia...what can I do and or where can I go to fix all this?

Michael Hendrickson Law Office Michael E. Hendrickson

Once he's been returned to Virginia, you could contact the

local prosecutor's office and explain that it all was (apparently)

a misunderstanding and you hope that once the Commonwealth's

Attorney's office fully understands this, that they will not

seek to prosecute your baby's father.
