The records of your arrest and criminal conviction are, undoubtedly, on microfilm at the

Prince William County courthouse (or wherever such old records are stored).

One of the clerks in the criminal division of either the general district court or the circuit court should be able to assist you in finding them. (Assault On a Police Officer is a serious felony and may have been handled up in the circuit court.)
