How long does the state have to bring back nolle processed charges against me

I was charged with possession with intent to distirbute a controlled substance. They nolle processed the charge. how long do they have to bring back the charge

Until the statute of limitations for the particular crime which you allegedly committed expires, calculated from the date of the alleged offense.

Until the statute of limitations for the particular crime which you allegedly committed expires, calculated from the date of the alleged offense.

If it was a felony, there is no statute of limitations in the Commonwealth of Virginia for felony crimes, and, therefore, it (meaning the felony charge) could be reinstated at any time in the future.
