Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
malicious wounding
My boyfriend just got charged for malicious wounding. He hit his moms boyfriend because the man was getting out of control. He only hit him once and now the guy is in the hospital. It turns out he had osteoporosis or something which no one knew. He is doing better. Also he is not pressing charges, the state is. My boyfriend has no violent history. Is there a chance of him getting a bond? and how much time is he facing?

Re: malicious wounding
Both good questions for the criminal defense counsel who hopefully is representing your boyfriend by now.
