Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Minor to/from Adult Assault
I heard that after two hits from a minor (pushing counts as a hit), someone over 18 is allowed to hit the minor in self-defense. Is that true? Only two hits. Not just one (even if it was not severe)?
Also, any hit from an adult on a minor, as long as the minor did not assault him/her, could get the adult immediately arrested? And if the minor hit the adult in self-defense (severely or minor injuring the adult), would the court (if it was necessary to go) favor the minor?

Re: Minor to/from Adult Assault
assualt is assault whether it be on a juvenile or an adult. the rules of self-defense always apply, but there are more factors involved than just the age of the parties.
