Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
can a misdemeanor be removed from my record? It was for a failure to appear in court for a traffic ticket? The incident happen 2 1/2 years ago, but now i have to appear in court 8/29/11 for the same violation. Im just wondering what will happen next.

No, once convicted, a defendant cannot get the record of
conviction removed or expunged in the Commonwealth unless he can demonstrate that he was wrongfully convicted and therefore has received a pardon from the governor. (Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2 et seq.)
