A misdemeanor conviction on your record (if that's what you mean) can have many adverse consequences for an individual these days that such a conviction may not have had in times past.
It can affect your credit, applications for jobs, insurance elgibility and premiums, and also have consequences for your possible future criminal liability in the event that you are charged with another crime at some future time.
No one should needlessly have this kind of conviction on his or her record.
