Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Money Order
I found 3 blank money orders with the receipt still attatched, I was wondering if it was against the law to cash them in any way?

Re: Money Order
You should attempt to return the money orders to the establishment where they were purchased if such is ascertainable, or, perhaps, place an ad in the "Lost and Found" section of the local newspaper without, of course, revealing all of the details
of their identifying information.
Then, if no person comes forward with a credible claim to the money orders, it would seem that they would be no different than any other so-called bearer type paper, whether it be bearer bonds, lottery tickets, or cash, which might be found on the street, and in that circumstance they should be payable to you.
