Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My mother is 84 (lives in NC); her home is in me and my sister's name (on the deed). We have just discovered a grandson that is living with her is on drugs and has stolen and forged 2 checks. She is hesitating about making him leave; can we have him removed from the home as we are on the deed?

Assuming this property is located in the Tar Heel state, then you would likely need to go through North Carolina's equivalent of Virginia's general district court and follow the legal procedures necessary for any landlord down there to evict any regular tenant in that particular jurisdiction.
But, of course, you should check with a North Carolina attorney who handles landlord-tenant matters to be sure.
