Motion hearing
My son was arrested 07/07 on arson charges. He is being held without bond until present; motion hearing is 4/08 and trail date has been set for 6/08. He still does not know what evidents they have againt him. When should we be able to find this out and what is the motion hearings. His attorney will not return my calls. He was suppost to be given his files after the arreignment in Jan 08. Your advise would be appreciated. I have been considering getting another attorney. How would I go about this. We have paid the attorney in full and I feel that I cannot get any info

Re: Motion hearing
Your son is this attorney's client thus he really has no obligation to return any phone calls to you or explain any aspect of this case with you.
Re: Motion hearing
If you mean to suggest that in fact your son's attorney is not keeping him up to speed on the status of his case nor communicating with him as one would reasonably expect given his current detention status, then, yes, your son should very likely consider getting another attorney.
