Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
notice of abatement
I sent in a notice of abatement of improper service to the county clerk in virginia. I gave them 15 days to respond and asked for all further correspondents to be sent to my notary. The clerk sent a letter directly to my house stating '' if i wish to contest i will need to attend court'' he did not correct the issues i laid out in the abatement either . should i still proceed with a default notice or does his letter count as a response.

Re: notice of abatement
I am not clear on what this is about and I think you may proceed at your peril. This is typically an issue that needs to be hashed out in court and not on paper. Good luck.
