Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
First offense
I have been charged just yesterday with unauthorized use of a vehicle and damage worth more than $1,000. It was a car accident and I am unlicensed but it really was just an accident. I don't go to court til June 2nd but, I meet with my lawyer May 4th. This is my frist offense does anybody know what kind of outcome this could have. I'm going into my Senior year in college I can't afford to go to jail.

You would be well advised to discuss this issue with your lawyer. (And, no, you shouldn't have to wait until May 4th to speak with this person.)
