What Right...

I need to know what right do have as a owner of a seized vehicle involved in a drug arrest. Could I get it back without getting to involved. Or at some of the contents.

Yes, if it's a state court charge, you can first

contact the prosecutor in the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and ask to speak with the prosecutor assigned to the case. Explain to this person your situation and that you had nothing to do with the offense charged.

If, after this the vehicle is still not returned, then go to the clerk's office(criminal division)and request a hearing on the matter.

If it's a federal charge, particularly one involving a continuing criminal enterptise charge

(RICCO),consult an attorney familiar with federal criminal practice.
