Parental control of adult child's assets
Can a virginia resident's parents take control of his finances and property if he is temporarily incapacitated in the hospital from a car accident.

Re: Parental control of adult child's assets
If there is a court order granting another person to act on behalf of the incapacitated person or if there is some power of attorney in place, then it is possible for another person to control the assets during the period of incapacity. If you believe your parents have acted wrongfully, you may want to seek legal counsel.
