Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Parole violation criteria
My son has served his time and is on parole for 3 years, of which 1 1/2 years is left. In January, it snowed a little. He was at his boss' house and his boss told him to go play with the 4 wheeler while he did some paperwork. My son took the 4 wheeler, drove on a dead end state road and did a donut. A Game Warden wrote him for wreckless operation of a motor vehicle. Since he felony was drug related, from what we can remember, he is only in violation for drugs or drinking, but wanted to make sure before he goes to court that he did not violate his probation. It was a typical fun thing we have always done in the country where we came from, so he did not think.
Can you help? I can get a lawyer if necessary.

Re: Parole violation criteria
Yes, better get a lawyer to represent your son. (1.5 years can be a long time to spend in the "Big House".)
