Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

My ex partner has been posting things about me on his facebook page, which is viewable to his friends. The posts concerning me are about a personals ad I placed on Craigslist on separate occasions. I asked him in writing to remove the posts concerning me, and he refuses. There is no mention of a threat of violence, just the intention to humilate me. He also mentions in the posts about my health. I spoke to the county magistrate, and she said there is no case for this, unless he threatens my life, but the code of law doesnt say this is a requirement for conviction. Is there valid legal action that can be taken against him? Can this be classified as harrassment/stalking?

I agree with the county magistrate, i.e., no basis for a criminal complaint.

Your remedy is likely limited to filing a complaint with the FaceBook folks whose task it is to ensure that the rules for this social networking website are being properly complied with by its users (in my opinion).
