How, on these facts, could anyone in this forum possibly know? If you requested that the trial court's verdict be appealed and your attorney failed to follow through with noting the appeal, it would seem appropriate to send a written complaint to the attorney's supervisor in the defender service and, perhaps, file a bar complaint as well. (However, you should also bear in mind that handling any part of this appeal may not have been within the definable scope of your appointed counsel's representation of you in this matter.)
