Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
A person filed a criminal complaint for trespassing against me twice within 10 days. Both complaints are worded exactly the same for the same date and time. I believe this was done to harass me by having two arrest warrants served for one indecent.
Is it a crime to file the same criminal complaint twice in Virginia? If not, do I have a civil recourse?

Civil recourse? I would doubt it, but whenever you appear in court on the first complaint, you could certainly request that the second(apparently duplicative) one be dismissed.
