petit larsony on job aplications
hi my name is--name removed--and about three years ago i got in trouble being young and stupid and stole a 9 dollar cd at target and got caught now no one wants to hire me do i have to put it on a aplication and will it ever get off my record and what can i do about it

Yes, you have to disclose the record of your petty larceny conviction if the question is asked
regarding such a misdemeanor conviction on a job application, and, no, it will not get off your record and, unfortunately, there's nothing that you can do about it since Virginia does not allow
for the expungement of crimiinal records unless you can prove that you were wrongfully convicted and have received a pardon from the governor.
