Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

petiti larceny charge tryin to find a job and get charges expunged!

I was in the mall with a friend who was stealing from a department store and i was convicted of petit larceny, but my other two charges was dismissed conspiracy and possession of burglatory tools and they are still on my background check, i've been everywhere tryin to find a job but no one will hire me.... How can I find a Job with that on my record.... i'm a college grad and pursing my masters... How much will it cost to get it expunged... Colonial Heights, Va USA.

Misdemeanor offenses such as petit larceny may now be expungable for first time offenders under Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2(C). Better arrange for a consultation with a criminal defense counsel in your area who should be able to further advise you on this issue.
