Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Is a plea agreement a final answer/sentence

Man shot/killed, robbed. 3 people involved in the end. 2 are juveniles. No proof that 26 yr old was at the scene that I am aware of. Gun in possession prior to the crime didn't match ballistically. He supposedly confessed to 4 inmates, 1 private citizen (all very debateable). Given plea from capital to first degree. His lawyers said odds were stacked against him, arranged the deal. Very high publicity, from beginning. 10 day trial was expected. Life w/possibility,(BUT no parole in our state) was the sentence. No appeal options w/plea, I understand that. He will be taken to a high security prison within the next 2 weeks. Has all been done that can be done? What would be done 'if' truth ever comes out? 16 year old told to be real shooter, wears tattoo on back of neck (187) and known to carry a gun and be related to a gang. His and 14 yr old automatically, with plea from 26 yr old, will be reduced to murder 1 too. They may not see trial either. Please let me know asap. Could this sentence ever be reversed?

Re: Is a plea agreement a final answer/sentence

This is a good example of why people shouldn't plead guilty. Thanks for the story.
