Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
i took a plea bargin to felony assault. the plea was guilty and i was to be sentenced to to Serve no more than 1 year of actual jail time and probation not to exceed 2 years
i went to sentencing and i was sentenced to 10 years with 9 years suspended and 2 years probation. i would like to know if i violate probation can a judge sentence me to serve the 9 years he suspended? this is in Virginia.

Sure, I would certainly think so, but why not check with the criminal defense
counsel who (hopefully) was representing you on this very serious charge for greater certainty in the matter.
