Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

On a Plea

I have a plea on 46.1 387.8 whereas The signature of my name is not my hand writing period ,back in 02/05/9186 It was not signed by me at all its signed by the lawyer who was court appointed,and the attorny for the commonwealth of Virginia,somebody else signed my name to it.is this supposed to be legal.

It's not clear what all the circumstances were from your description, but if you were charged with a crime or violation and did not consent to the plea (or give your lawyer permission to enter such in your behalf), then such a plea could not be accepted by the court hearing the matter. (A defendant's plea of guilty must always be given freely, voluntarily and without coercion.)

However, if the court nevertheless accepted the plea, it must have felt that it complied with the aforesaid criteria.

In any event, if all this went down more than 20 years ago, back in 1986, it's a little late now to attempt to correct the record(if that's what you may have in mind).
