do the police have right to enter a hotel room without a warrant or without a hotel manger present if they smell weed in the hall way of the hotel?

Sounds to me like it(the odor of smoldering cannabis) could amount to probable cause(meaning justification for the cops to enter the room without a warrant if they had reasonable suspicion to believe that the odor was emanating from a particular room).
