polygraph testing
If you are asked by the police department to take a lie detector test do you have to take it? If not what are the ramifacations?

Re: polygraph testing
Under no circumstances should you take a polygraph test at the request of the police.
Nor should you ever:
-- Agree to come to the police station voluntarily (make them arrest you)
-- Volunteer to be questioned (remain SILENT)
-- Consent to a search (say "I'd rather you didn't search my (home, car, etc.) unless you have a warrant")
-- Admit the police to your home (make them kick the door down)
-- Say anything to a police officer except, "Sir, I'd like to have an attorney present."
No matter what they say, it is never to your advantage to do any of the above.
