Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
pre-trial hearings
A friend of mine who it would appear is under a Federal Indictment has to attend a pre-trial hearing, they have never been formally arrested or anything. What does all of this mean?

Re: pre-trial hearings
If the person has been indicted( whether federally or otherwise), then very likely he's already been arrested or is about to be.
Regarding what a federal indictment may mean for your friend, big trouble is what it means, big trouble.
