Price Altering,Shoplifting. Whats The Difference

Officer approaches in store,nothing hid, not covered up.Still shopping.customer accused of altering price on item in cart.Can you be charged when you have not tried to take it threw check out.

Yes, you can be charged; deliberately altering a price on merchandise for sale is itself a crime (even if the merchandise is not removed from the store).
