Is it illegal to own a tazer gun in the state of Virginia?

Just about any kind of gun can be owned by a non-felon citizen in the Commonwealth, including Tazer type weapons, as far as I know. The ownership of some weapons, however, such as machine guns is prohibited unless the special waivers and federal firearms licenses necessary for the ownership of these weapons have been properly obtained.
