Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
How can I pursue charges for false accusations?
I have been implicated in a situation where there are false accusations being claimed against me. I have been accused of an altercation that never took place and the police department is requiring me to file a statement. I have multiple witnesses that can prove that this alleged encounter never occurred. What legal action can I take against the complaintant once it is clear that the allegations are false?

More facts are needed in order to determine what cause of action you might have, if any, against this allegedly false accuser.
