Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I would like to pursue criminal charges pertaining to a road rage incident. After honking my horn at a driver to move he followed up by following me several miles to my child's school, as my child was getting out to enter the building he blocked my car from moving forward or backwards (there were cars behind me) and proceeded to get into my face in a very agressive manor, waving his hands, yelling and screaming obscenities for other children and staff to hear. I was unable to drive off because he had my car blocked and if it weren't for the school staff stepping in I believe he have become violent towards me. I called the police and gave them his make and model along with his license plate number. A police report is being generated but how can I pursue charges against this person. I am fearful that because he has my license plate number and now know where my child attends school, we are at risk and possible danger.

Wait and see what kind of charge(s)--if any---result from the police report. It
may be that the police department, local magistrate, or office of commonwealth's attorney that may be involved may decide that what you've described does not necessarily add up to a chargeable crime under current Virginia law.
