Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

My question is do the amendments still apply under a Private college's rules/laws. Or can they do what they want. How does that work. When I got suspended from school I wasn't aloud an attorney present at my meeting not my trial. That rule is not written down any where they only verbly told me that. They allow us to have an"advisor" they call it but they do nothing cause during your meeting with the deans they cant speak they can only"advise" you before. I would of felt much more comfortable having an attorney there telling what to answer and not because they way they do it now is they incriminate you, you have the right not to speak but if you don't you get screwed over. I just need to know how the amendments work under a private colleges rules or how does a private colleges rules apply to the amendments. I felt I didn't have the right to representation, I felt threatened. And there is no jury its just you and 3 of the deans and if you have been in front of them before i think they hold grudges.

Michael Hendrickson Law Office Michael E. Hendrickson

Neither the U.S. Constitution nor its 27 Amendments are implicated in any way

(in my opinion)in the private action of the college against you which you've described, making you the subject of its disciplinary system, since no "state actors" are apparently involved.
