Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Virginia , My fianc was given 5 days of a 30 day sentence, he is supposed to be let out tonight at midnight. However he has a warrant in Ohio for not appearing at court after completing what he was supposed to complete for a misdemeanor possesion charge there as well. The only reason there is a warrant is because of a 25 dollar fee that needs to be paid . But can't be paid till the morning since it is Sunday. When he is released tonight will they extradite him and turn around and rearrest him on that 25 dollars?

If you mean to ask will the state of Ohio incur the time and expense to extradite your fiance to that jurisdiction based upon what is allegedly
a minor misdemeanor case, the answer must be that such would
be most unlikely (in my opinion).
