Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I have a serious question that has been weighing on my mind. I made a bad decision and was convicted of petit larceny about a year ago. I am in college and I want to go to medical school. This conviction will hinder me from getting the jobs I want in life. I can I get this conviction expunged, or is there anything else I can do?

No, you cannot, unless you can prove that you were wrongfully convicted and
in consequence thereof have received a pardon from the governor. (See Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2 et seq.)
