Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I was recently at a house party, an officer had arrived at the premises and I had made a statement to a friend of mine. The statement was the officer wasn't allowed to enter the house without a warrant. The officer turned towards me and arrested me for obstruction of justice. I later asked the Officer what the reason for my arrest was and he stated I stepped in front of him and prevented him from entering the house. I have 4 Witnesses that will testify in court saying " I didn't step in front of the officer, nor was my statement made directly to the officer" If you were my Lawyer what exactly would your defense be in this situation?
