How do you get your record cleared if your charges are over five years old?

Typically you can't, not in Virginia. If you are convicted, you are probably stuck with it. The answer might also depend on what the Judge ordered or how they sentenced you. You would need to hire an attorney to help with any expungement or pardon request. It won't happen in an online legal forum and you will not likely be able to successfully or quickly do this yourself. Good luck.
