Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
recreational vehicle
I was the sole beneficiary of a will. The day I probated the will someone removed the recreational vehicle from the estate. The vehicle was still titled in the deceased name. I had the vehicle titled to myself as executor on the estate. I have been to court in Virginia and a Judge has said that it is my vehicle. I went to the sheriff's department to report the vehicle stolen and was told that in the state of Virginia that I am not recognized as the owner of the vehicle and the title I have is not legal. The estate is in Virginia and I live in North Carolina. I did not know that a deputy for the sheriff's department could overrule a Judge's ruling. Is there anything that I can do?

Re: recreational vehicle
Obviously, more is involved here than what you've presented in your question. I assume that
the person or persons in the Sheriff's Department must have given you very specific reasons as to why he or they believe that you're not recognized as the legal owner of the RV in Virginia when a Virginia judge has apparently ruled otherwise. Until these reasons can be ascertained and appropriately examined, no credible response to your last question can be provided.
