Reduce or drop jail term ???
Is there a legal course we can take to have our sons sentence of 4 years for felony conviction ? His lawyer has filed a motion for reconsideration in Fairfax county, VA COURTS, still waiting for a response

Assuming your son took a plea bargain and therefore waived his right to appeal, his remedy under these circumstances is to file a motion for reconsideration of the sentence as has, apparently, been done, and await the judge's decision thereon.
