Rehab programs

My son is incarcerated on drug

charges.He is in receiving WAITING

TO BE MOVED TO HIS FINAL

DESTINATION to serve his time.I

would like to know if he can be

enrolled in programs like

Crossroads or Second

Genesis.Would it help him if he

comes up for his annual review with

dept of corrections?How can I find

out about these programs?

Whether the programs you've mentioned would be available for your son to participate in would likely depend upon the particular DOC facility which is selected for his "final destination".

Participation in and completion of one or more of these programs might increase his so-called accumulation of good time and therefore marginally reduce his incarceration time in the state penitentiary.(With the the elimination of parole in the Commonwealth back in 1995, prisoners in state facilities must serve on average around 88% or so of their sentences before being eligible for release.)
