Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

re-Hearing inside a state correctional facility

Within a week after our sons

transfer to a state facility, he has

been sent into segregation unit.He

had a hearing today and one of the

officers informed me after a little

persuasion that our son will be

there for 30 days, he could not give

us anymore info except, no phone

calls, no visitation. What can we do

as parents.Do we have any legal

path to help our son?we do not

know what our sons crime was or

what he is going thro''.For our

previous request you had

suggested we get in touch with the

original attorney that was present

at his sentencing. Can he help us

out in a state facility ?W have filed

a motion for reconsideration with

another lawyer before our son was

transfered to the state correctional

facility,

Re: re-Hearing inside a state correctional facility

At least one of these two lawyers which you've mentioned and who have had involvement in your son's case should be able to give you some advice and direction as to what may be going on now with your son's incarceration at the state correctional facility which you do not now seem to understand.

Another option would be for you to contact the warden (or his/her office)of the correctional facility to determine whether they may be able to enlighten you on the issues with which you're concerned in regard to your son.
