Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I have a relative that was arrested for pety larceny, but the charge was amended to trespassing, being that she is 18 with no priors.. my question is will the original charge show up on a backgound check or the amended charge ? For employment puposes, whether its an fbi check or basic backgound check.

What will likely show up (if anything) is her conviction for trespassing, and, possibly, depending upon the database that is queried, her arrest for petty larceny which may be expungeable (unlike the record of the conviction).
